| Apr 14 | Saturday | The 34th Calderdale Hike will take place on Saturday 14th April 2012. The hike is open to all walkers and runners over the age of 14 on the day of the hike. 27 mile and 36 mile routes with full support and back up. | May 19 | Saturday | The Annual Sowerby Scorcher 10K Run Saturday will be held on 19th May 2012, 11.00am St Peter’s Centre, Sowerby HX6 1HB. The circular route follows lanes, bridleways and footpaths over the hills and moors of Sowerby with panoramic views over beautiful pennine hills. There are a some steep sections, some muddy parts and some occasional stiles. About 40% is off-road, and the route is challenging but most find it very enjoyable. Entry form from: Mrs F.
